Education and Training
We provide educational scholarships and training programs to help young girls and women access the education they need to succeed.
As Education is a critical tool in women empowerment, as it helps them make better choices as regards to education itself, their health (nutrition and sexual health as well as their family healthcare) and overall life expectancy.
Education equips women to make more informed choices and opens up possibilities of a future beyond traditional roles of childcare and household work.
Education increases women participation in politics and public service and most importantly provides a pathway to escape from poverty.
Disaster And Emergency Response
Women are disproportionately affected by disasters due to discrimination along social and gender lines in disaster and emergency situations.
Globally, the burden of recovering from disasters fall on women who are most likely to undertake the responsibility of caring for young, elderly and persons with disabilities, making it more difficult for them to evacuate and survive.
In the Nigerian situation women are disadvantaged in the aftermath of disaster by social and cultural traditions that stifle their influence critical decisions that affect their family and immediate environment.
Healthcare
Healthcare and women’s rights are closely related issues, as access to healthcare is essential for women to be able to fully exercise their rights and live healthy lives.
We advocate for healthcare policies and programs that are designed to meet the specific healthcare needs of women, such as access to reproductive healthcare and maternal health services and provision of access to healthcare through Sustainable partnerships.
This includes training of midwives and skilled birth attendants.
Hunger Relief
Poverty and poor nutrition are closely linked. Women are often disproportionately affected by poverty and may have limited access to nutritious foods.
This can lead to malnutrition, which can have negative impacts on their health, as well as the health of their children.
Though our annual August food drive\communal outreach, we support families struggling to put food on the table. By this we address immediate food needs and nutritional handicaps.
The food is distributed mainly through our partner organizations, such as churches and other organizations in the communities we serve.
Advocacy and Awareness Raising Programs
These programmes aim to raise awareness about the importance of women’s empowerment and advocate for policies and initiatives that support women’s rights and equality.
